Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Cycling announced in conjunction with Purgatory Resort that the Purgatory Grand Prix Pro GRT/XCT scheduled to take place September 1-2, 2018 has been cancelled due to the wild fires in the Durango area.
“No one could have imagined how the fire would have taken its toll on this season, and decades to come,” said Hogan Koesis, Bike Park Director for Mountain Capital Partners, “We are going to hope for the best for next season and will keep everyone informed of our plans as we push forward into the future.”
The final Pro GRT event will be the Kamikaze Bike Games in Mammoth Lake, Calif. September 21-23, 2018.
